Who we are? |
“I have a dream
that one day the state of Alabama, whose governor's lips are
presently dripping with the words of interposition and nullification,
will be transformed into a situation where little black boys
and black girls will be able to join hands with little white
boys and white girls and walk together as sisters and brothers.
I have a dream today”.
Martin Luther King pronounced these words during his famous speech
on August 28, 1963 in Washington DC.
Like Martin Luther King, we have a dream
at ‘Solidarité Palestine’.
We dream that one day in the land of Palestine/Israel, little Palestinian
boys and girls will be able to join hands with little Israeli boys
and girls as sisters and brothers.

About us
‘Solidarité Palestine’ is
a duly registered association under the provisions of the Registration
of Associations Act 1978 of the Republic of Mauritius (link to www.mauriweb.com/mauritius
The idea of creating an association to
sensitize the Mauritian public about the situation in Palestine/Israel
and to concretely help the Palestinian children and the population
at large, emerged in 2002. Mauritians of different faiths and
walks of life started to meet on a regular basis. Mauritians,
as a justice and peace loving nation, had to make their contribution
to the building of peace in Palestine/Israel. Mauritius
is multi-religious, multi-cultural and multi-ethnic. African,
Chinese, European and Indian origins. And in 2003 Solidarité Palestine
was legally registered.
